Tonsils removed

It has been a long week for us. On Wed the 7th we took Ariyah in for a sleep study, and we were called in for a follow up on Monday. When walking into the doc appointment, he told us he wanted to remove Ariyah's tonsil on Tuesday!! We knew He wanted to remove them, but this soon? Dr. Greer (ENT) Stated that she has sleep apnea and it is an sbstruction apnea. (basically it is fixable). Ariyah was only getting a portion of the Oxygen that she needs at night due to her enlarged tonsils.

So we went in for surgery on Tuesday morning, and she was great as usual. The hardest thing is to take an other wise heathly child to a dr. and then get her returned back to you sick and in pain. It has been a long week, and I can't wait until she starts talking again. She is keeping her mouth closed most of the time, and I miss her sweet voice and constant instructions on how to do everything..
It is really nice to be home and letting her run free, or cling to me whatever she needs.

Will this life of ours ever settle down? These past few months have been crazy. We have found out that I will have to have surgery to remove a cyst off of my ovary. Then we had to take my little girl for a sleep study this past week. They are wanting to remove her tonsils. Ariyah did so good during the sleep study. She helped the nurse put all the wires on and still slept. So now we have a surgery for her coming up. We have had a family reunion and many people in and out of our house these past couple of months for various reasons. Plus my brother-in-law got married in Sept to his new beautiful wife. I am ready to have a week with just the three of us, no appointments, no work, no family. I don't believe this will really happen anytime soon, but it is a nice dream. Don't get me wrong I love people and I love family, but sometimes there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.. Although I believe 2009 has been a good year, I am already ready for it to be over so we can start over in 2010.
